That Was Fun!

The youth conference was fun. Myself, the Shannon's, Megan, Gillian, Samantha, Katie, and Hazel attended the Maritime Youth Conference this past week at Mount St. Vincent University in Halifax. We had an awesome time where we heard excellent speakers, met some new people, worshipped God, and ate some...interesting food.
I would like to thank the girls and leaders who attended for an excellent time. I am very glad I was able to attend with all of you and get to know you more. Thanks again for everything and I'm looking forward to doing more stuff in the future.
If you haven't allready joined, there is a facebook group just like Jim said there would be and look for it and join it and give some feedback about the conference.
Keep checking the blog for up-coming events and such.
Thanks again for an awesome time girls.

YOUTH CONFERENCE DETAILS

I can so relate to this cartoon if you can't all ready tell.
Anyways here is the much anticipated youth conference information! Well at least I think so.
Where: Mount St. Vincent University, 166 Bedford Highway, Halifax, NS
When: Registration starts at 5:00 pm on Friday and goes until 8:00 pm. I suggest showing up between 6:30 and 7:00 pm. Follow the posted signs to park at the Westwood building and enter to register, I should be in there waiting for you. I am going to try and register us in advance so I will try and have your room and keys all ready for you. Key replacement costs $50.00 so please be careful with them.
Nothing gets underway until 8:00 pm so that is why I suggest showing up around than.
Northcliffe pool is available to us Saturday from 2:30-4:30 pm at the cost of $3 for those under 18 and $4 for the old guys like me. Keep in mind we have a Church swim Sunday afternoon at the same pool.
The Conference ends around 12:00 pm on Sunday.
I have sent all of you e-mails with the same details and a few more things because I'm so kind. See you there.

Dates: May 18, 19, 20

Accommodations: We are staying in the university dorms and girls and boys will be separated.

Things you should bring: Personal toiletries, towels, clothes (bathing suit?), spending money, Bible, notebook & pen, pillow

Again I'm looking forward to meeting you guys and to those who are attending I have sent e-mails either to you or your parents and feel free to reply and ask questions by that method. Keep checking the blog for future updates.

First Post- Hockey Posts

Well this blog has been established so that people can check what will be going on with the youth group.
First thing on the agenda is Ball Hockey next tuesday night, May 15 @ 7:00 pm. This is taking place at Silas Quentin Patterson park and be sure to bring whatever you think you might need (Sticks, water, a pen to sign autographs because you were so great out on the pavement. . .) Bring a friend along too.
Second thing is the Youth Conference, to all those going I'm (I'm = James) pumped for it and look for more details in the future. It is taking place @ Mt. St. Vincent in Halifax May 18-20.
Third is that on friday June 1 there is going to be Gym Time at the St. Margarets Bay Center from 7-8 pm and than down to Dairy Queen after I believe for some hot eats and cool treats (I all ready know that I'm lame, but what can you do?)
Keep checking this out for more information in the future and I will try to keep this updated as I find things out too.
