The Last Post

Hey guys, well my ten weeks here in Hammonds Plains are drawing to a close. I'll be preaching my final sermon on Sunday July 15 and than I head back to the Island pretty much right after the service. If you can come this Sunday it would be good to see you guys before I leave.
I'd just like to thank you for being a great group to work with and all of the fun we've had together whether it was the youth conference, hurting myself on the trampoline, Hands On Fun, mini-golf or whatever, thank you very much.
Who knows what God holds in the future for me or for yourselves but I'm sure we will cross paths again. Enjoy your summer and continue to live the faith and feel free to e-mail me any time you need to talk.
God Bless.

Mini-Golf and Ice-Cream

Next Tuesday, July 10, assuming the weather co-operates we are going to be going mini-golfing at Atlantic Playland @ 6:00 pm and than around 7:00 pm we will go to Sackville Vinyard Church's Ice Cream Shop. I hope you guys can all come because it is the last event that I will be able to attend with the youth group before I go back to the Island and I'd like to see you guys at least once more. Mini-golf will be $6.00 at most and also bring money for ice cream. We will also need a few parents to drive out to the ice cream stand and back if possible.

Party!

Next Wednesday, June 27 @ the Fire Hall from 6-9 pm we are going to have the end of school celebration. We're going to order some pizza, eat some other food and probably have a make your own Sundae or something else for dessert. (I had to check if I spelled dessert right by searching google images and seeing sugar stuff and not sand.) Also we're going too hook up the projector and a speaker and watch some movies. Bring some board games as well because we might get some games going at that time. (Bring Apples to Apples Megan and Gillian). You can feel free to bring your own seat if you like, such as a comfy lawn chair, a bean bag chair or if you're lame enough, inflatable furniture.

ARK Sunday Supper

Hey guys, this Sunday Hammonds Plains Christian Church is serving at the ARK Sunday Supper from 4-6. We are serving spaghetti pies and is a great way to help others and serve God. I encourage you to attend and help out if you have the chance. I will be there helping serve up slices of spaghetti and you can too! Hope to see you there.

"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Enter, you who are blessed by my Father! Take what's coming to you in this kingdom. It's been ready for you since the world's foundation. And here's why:

I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.'
Matthew 25:34-36

Pictures

This is for those of you who attended the Spring Conference. I was just wondering if you could send me your pictures that you may have taken at the conference. If you can it would be grand and I'll be your best friend... okay, I'll just respect you a little more... okay, I won't make fun of you... okay, I'll probably just say thanks and we'll leave it at that. Anyways I want to collect those from you and maybe we'll work at putting something together with them. Keep checking the blog for up-dates.
This cartoon was pointed out to me by Samantha, but keep checking the blog, or your answering machine for things on the go or you might get left out, I hope that it doesn't happen, but it could happen.

That Was Fun!

The youth conference was fun. Myself, the Shannon's, Megan, Gillian, Samantha, Katie, and Hazel attended the Maritime Youth Conference this past week at Mount St. Vincent University in Halifax. We had an awesome time where we heard excellent speakers, met some new people, worshipped God, and ate some...interesting food.
I would like to thank the girls and leaders who attended for an excellent time. I am very glad I was able to attend with all of you and get to know you more. Thanks again for everything and I'm looking forward to doing more stuff in the future.
If you haven't allready joined, there is a facebook group just like Jim said there would be and look for it and join it and give some feedback about the conference.
Keep checking the blog for up-coming events and such.
Thanks again for an awesome time girls.

YOUTH CONFERENCE DETAILS

I can so relate to this cartoon if you can't all ready tell.
Anyways here is the much anticipated youth conference information! Well at least I think so.
Where: Mount St. Vincent University, 166 Bedford Highway, Halifax, NS
When: Registration starts at 5:00 pm on Friday and goes until 8:00 pm. I suggest showing up between 6:30 and 7:00 pm. Follow the posted signs to park at the Westwood building and enter to register, I should be in there waiting for you. I am going to try and register us in advance so I will try and have your room and keys all ready for you. Key replacement costs $50.00 so please be careful with them.
Nothing gets underway until 8:00 pm so that is why I suggest showing up around than.
Northcliffe pool is available to us Saturday from 2:30-4:30 pm at the cost of $3 for those under 18 and $4 for the old guys like me. Keep in mind we have a Church swim Sunday afternoon at the same pool.
The Conference ends around 12:00 pm on Sunday.
I have sent all of you e-mails with the same details and a few more things because I'm so kind. See you there.
